Android 2.4 coming at April as new Edition of Gingerbread (Not Ice Cream Sandwich)

Viewsonic ViewPad 4 smartphone will be sporting Android 2.4 according to Pocket-lint as they claimed Viewsonic has exclusively told them about Andorid 2.4 Gingerbread. The new update version of Gingerbread will bring the availty to install and run Honeycomb Apps on your single core Android Smartphone. As we reported before new version of Andorid 2.4 expected to be released in this summer as Ice Cream Sandwich. But looks like Android 2.4 will be realese earlier as Viewsonic said ViewPad 4 will be out in April and the Gingerbread name will remain unchanged. We assume the next version of Honeycomb could be named as Ice Cream Sandwich. Various sources over the Internet claimed the rumor to be true. Anyway, ViewPad 4 will be running on Andorid 2.4, flash 10.1, 720p HD video recording, mini-HDMI 720p display output and a 5 Mega-pixel camera.
