iPhone 4 Modded into Swiss 'Time Machine'

For iPhone modders with expensive tastes, this nifty little creation from Gresso may be right up your alley - that is, of course, if you have $6,000 to blow when every free clock app in existence can pretty much provide the same functionality and then some. Still, if you like the ornate look of an iPhone 4 with six expensive watches embedded in its back, this is the iDevice for you.

If the name Gresso sounds familiar, it's the same maker of the infamous diamond-encrusted iPhone cases and similar over-the-top expensive accessories that no one could possibly need, but perhaps want for the sake of impressing others. What we have here is the new iPhone 4 'Time Machine.' And from the front, it looks like any other iPhone 4. The back, however, is a different story.

On the reverse side of the current-generation Apple touchscreen smartphone are six Swiss mechanical watches - yes, the very pricey variety of watches that you would expect to see adorning the wrist of a James Bond villain. Best of all, as you monitor at least six international times, you can do so in style. Keeping consistent with its history, Grasso has encrusted each watch with both diamonds and mineral glass.

And in case you're wondering, this little beuaty is only 1mm thicker than the iPhone 4 without Swiss watches fixed to its rear. Although its a safe bet that these won't sell to the masses with any great success, one can only image that Grasso has done pretty well to date with its over-the-top creations to still be cranking out new and impractical ideas such as this one.
